I shot this fascinating panorama of the Alps from summit du mont Blanc. Facing us are the Col de la Brenva, Mont Maudit and Mont Blanc du Tacul. On the left, below us, stands the famous Aiguille du Midi, which looks so small from this distance. In the background, the ridges of Les Drus and Aiguille Verte cut a swath through the horizon. Then our gaze wanders off to the mountains of the Valais and Bernese Alps. The Dents de Morcles, Grand Chavalard and Grand Muvran emerge mysteriously from the fog.

I took this black and white photograph in 2016, when I reached summit for the first time. After two unsuccessful attempts in the middle of a storm, I decided to take my chances by climbing the mountain in good weather. I set off from the Goûter hut at 1am, ahead of the other climbers, to be the first to reach summit. Enjoying this suspended moment alone, communing with nature and feeding off its splendor. Watching the sun rise from the highest point in the Alps. Another day when I felt stronger and more serene than ever to have been able to contemplate such a landscape. Forget the cold and fatigue of so many emotions. What an unforgettable experience to finally find myself at summit on the Mont Blanc I had photographed so many times! And what happiness to have all these magnificent mountains in front of me. I've climbed them, I've slept on their summits, and now, under my amazed gaze, they reveal themselves through the clouds, reminding me of my fondest memories.

Celestial pleasure at over 4000 meters above Zermatt. The Castor and the Pollux, summits twins of the Valais, rise in the Alps to rub shoulders with the sky. These mountains are among the first that I had the pleasure to climb and admiring them brings back fabulous memories. This sumptuous black and white photograph will give climbers the chance to relive every moment of the great moments they experienced up there.

I painted this portrait of Castor and Pollux at the beginning of summer. The first rays of sunshine are beaming down on the snow-covered summits , while the storm has moved on to other lands. The recent snowfalls have not discouraged the climbers, who can be seen on summit du Pollux, right, and on the Castor traverse. Tiny dots, clearly visible on print in large format, their presence highlights the mountain's disproportionate grandeur as well as our paltry size.

In this photograph, I wanted to highlight the beauty of the hanging glaciers that adorn the walls of these high mountains. The freshly deposited snow on the rocks reveals details that were previously invisible. The snow-covered walls and glaciers sparkle in the indirect sunlight. Through silver tones, the summits are revealed in a new light. I love this work for the depth of its brilliance and the truth of its features. Vibrant photograph of life, like an ode to the mythical Castor and Pollux, legendary sons of Zeus.

In front of us, the famous Aiguilles de Chamonix stand proudly. Punctuating the Mont-Blanc massif with their sharp points, they are among the most famous summits of the French Alps. After having braved the storm, they enjoy the calm of a late winter day.

Remarkable fact: color is part of the landscape. Soft, monochromatic colors, barely perceptible, that I chose to keep to better highlight the beauty of these rocks, both subtle and transcendent.

I particularly like this photograph for its atmosphere. The subdued light that penetrates through the clouds caresses the snowy peaks and makes the needles just whitened by the snow shine. I also appreciate this work for its lines, pure and straightforward, translating with force the grandeur of the high mountains. A diagonal line links the Aiguille du Peigne to the Aiguille des Deux Aigles, in the center of the picture, which is protected by the Aiguille du Plan. Horizontality is also present, from the Aiguille du Caïman, on the left, to the ridge that joins the Aiguille du Midi, on the right. This play of contrasts finally reveals the beauty of the Aiguille du Plan glacier which, unfortunately, melts more and more each year.

The visual effect is striking: we are facing an impassable and indomitable stone fortress. Nature offers us here a work of beauty of which only she has the secret. What a privilege to be able to admire it! It emanates from these titanic mountains so much serenity and power. I dream of being able to climb these legendary summits . These sharp and vertiginous heights that have seen the birth of great names and have written the history of high mountain climbing over the years.

This panoramic photograph shows the Piz Bernina, the highest summit in the eastern Alps. With its 4048 meters of altitude, it is the highest point of the Bernina massif in Switzerland. In the foreground, the famous Biancograt, mythical and celestial ridge, leads to summit of the Pizzo Bianco also called Piz Alv, which rises to 3994 meters above sea level. When he reaches this ridge, the mountaineer tells himself that he will soon have conquered the Piz Bernina. But his enthusiasm quickly gave way to his willpower when he realized that a long and difficult rocky traverse still separated him from his objective.

I made this work one spring morning, after several years of repeated efforts. The Bernina mountain range is located six hours away from my home, on the other side of Switzerland. The operation had to be planned according to the weather forecast. Armed with perseverance, I had to be in the right place at the right time to make the magic happen. When it snows in the spring, the purity of the snow cover disappears in just a few minutes, as soon as the sun's rays begin to caress the rocky walls. So I had to succeed in capturing the ephemeral and divine beauty of these exceptional summits destined to quickly melt back into reality.

A grandiose flight in the heart of the Mont-Blanc massif in the French Alps. This black-and-white photograph features the famous Aiguille du Midi. To reach the Vallée Blanche and the Cosmiques hut, you'll have to conquer its tapering ridge. If the conditions are right, you can then reach the famous Mont Blanc, Europe's highest summit . The photograph highlights the beauty of the Aiguille du Midi and its hanging glaciers, which are in danger of collapsing. To avoid any catastrophe, they are placed under the watchful eye of Ludovic Ravanel, a geomorphologist specializing in the evolution of high mountain environments.

I did this work in the middle of the day. I tried my luck at daybreak, but by then summits had been completely swallowed up by clouds. The weather radar predicted an opening a few hours later. So I waited. Then, suddenly, the sky began to light up. We seized the opportunity to take off by helicopter. As we approached the clouds, the sky parted, allowing us to break through the haze and gaze at the magnificent landscape for a few moments. But the sky soon closed in, and we had to leave this sacred realm to protect our lives. Because helicopters can't safely fly through clouds.

Gigantic Dents du Midi dominating the Val d'Illiez, in the Swiss Alps. In this black and white photograph taken from the border between France and Switzerland, the mountains look sharp. On the right, the Haute Cime, culminating at 3257 meters of altitude, is the highest summit of the massif. Then there are the Doigts de Salanfe, the Dent Jaune, the Éperon, the Cathédrale, the Forteresse and the Cime de l'Est. Real ramparts watching over the valley. How small the chalets and villages built below seem, compared to the immensity of the mountain range!

I made this work in the middle of winter, when heavy snowfalls fell on the summits, covering the Dents du Midi with an incredible white coat. The phenomenon is rare and only occurs when an alchemy is created between the elements. I still don't know what the secret is. All I have to do is go to the high mountains after each storm, to try my luck again and again. So that one day finally a moment like this one occurs. This work owes its beauty to the purity of the snow hanging on the summits but also to the movement of clouds, perfectly arranged. These clouds endow the work with an incredible depth and dimension. I owe this photograph to fate, which offered me this moment of pure beauty. And I am happy that you can in turn enjoy this stunning spectacle.

Fascinating portrait of the Dom des Mischabels which rises to 4545 meters in the heart of the Valais Alps. While the Dufourspitze, the highest mountain of the Swiss Alps, is partly located on the Italian territory, the Dom is the highest exclusively Swiss summit . I took this beautiful black and white photograph by helicopter. At daybreak, when the mountain had just faced violent snowfalls, the risk was too great to venture on the ground. I flew over the Nadelgrat, whose shadow could be seen in the foreground. The north face of the Dom captivates our gaze, a sumptuous mountain lined with hanging glaciers. Around it, nature offers us a panorama of great beauty. On the left, we can see the Lyskamm, while on the right, the Matterhorn and the The Dent d'Hérens stand out on the horizon. How small these giants seem from this distance!

In this work, I wanted to highlight the grandiose silhouette of the Dom des Mischabels. Sublimated by its immaculate whiteness, it seems to reign supreme over these high regions. The photograph immortalizes the splendor of its gigantic glaciers. Their impressive crevasses inspire me and make me dream. Ice jewels now weakened by the inevitable warming of the climate. Each year, they decrease and see their contours evolve. The eternal snows of the Dom still conceal many secrets that they will gradually have to reveal to us. And, as a faithful admirer, I will be there to welcome the beauty and transmit it to you through my art.

This beautiful black and white photograph takes us above #Grindelwald, in the bernese alps. In the foreground, emerging from the mist at 3571 meters above sea level, the Sphinx observatory stands on the Jungfraujoch. At its foot is the highest railway station in Europe at 3454 meters. In the background, the Fiescher Gabelhorn, the Grosses Wannenhorn and the Chamm catch our eye. These emblematic mountains of the Swiss Alps are part of the Walliser Fiescherhörner chain, which overlooks the Aletsch glacier, the longest glacier in Europe.

I made this sumptuous picture one winter morning, after the passage of a snow storm. I was lucky enough to witness this unique spectacle where the Sphinx observatory rises from the clouds before being engulfed again. I managed to immortalize the precise moment when the mist covers it and stagnates at its height. Alone in front of the elements, the Sphinx resists the assaults of time. The photograph reveals its natural environment. This universe of rock and ice which inspires me and nourishes my work.

Facing the Sphinx, the summits of the Walliser Fiescherhörner shine with the first rays of the sun. Overlooking the mist, they stand next to the sky, a real inaccessible and unchanging fortress. In this photograph, I like the sequence of shots that leads us to another world. Between light and shadow, the high mountain catches our eye. Leaving the Sphinx, we leave to conquer the summits. The image invites us to let our imagination travel to this much desired kingdom where the human being is only a guest. When the mountain accepts it and the conditions allow it. An astonishing flight that stirs our dreams and soothes our souls.
