Dents du Midi - Canton of Vaud

Written by Thomas Crauwels
panoramic mountain photo large size - interior wall decoration living room
A frame large format mountain photo is a good alternative to bring some depth and perspective to your interior design... especially when the landscape outside is a bit monotonous. David tells us how he found solace in the view he had of Dents du Midi from his former home.

A wall decoration in his living room

David is intimately attached to the view of the Dents du Midi. A massif he knows well for having hiked there many times, between Haute Cime and the Susanfe pass.

He could contemplate them daily from his house in Yvorne in the Swiss Chablais. So, in anticipation of his future move to the northern part of the canton of Vaud, David wanted to find this magnificent view in his living room, failing to see it from the bay window of his new home. So, to compensate, he decided to acquire a print art print in limited edition entitled "Sunrise on the Dents du Midi ".

A mountain picture, as a matter of course

It was while surfing the web that David fell in love at first sight:

" When I came across your website, and saw this beautiful framed photo, I knew right away that this was the one I wanted to hang on the main wall of my future living room.

It is more particularly the work "Sunrise on the Dents du Midi ", in the format 60 x 180 cm that held his attention. David was hesitant about the size of print because he wanted to place this photograph above a sofa of about 2.50 m, positioned against a wall of about 3.50 m, without other original design object. He was concerned that the larger 70 x 210 cm format would be too big for his living room and would overload it. If, like David, you are not sure about the size, contact me so I can advise you.

After analysis and reflection, David finally opted for the 70 x 210 cm format, a print B&W that has become the centerpiece of the entire first floor of the house. This photo frame of Dents du Midi is now visible from the kitchen, which is 8 to 9 meters away, but also from the dining room which is 5 meters away. Beyond meeting the expectations of buyers, a photo frame is a real design wall decoration for a trendy dining room decoration.

Why order your framed photo online?

The problem David encountered is quite recurrent. There is always a delay between the moment you start thinking about the interior design of your new home, and the moment you move in. The time of the interior fittings, followed by the move, and unfortunately thelimited edition work that we had spotted on my site may no longer be available.

David didn't have room to store a print photo of this size, unless he had to move it from one room to another, as the renovations progressed. Moreover, since his future house was under construction, he was afraid that it would get damaged during 6 months of storage.

Knowing that my paintings are shipped worldwide, the packaging is perfectly designed to withstand the conditions of transport and storage. So no worries. The best is to place your order on my website and wait patiently for the right moment for the hanging.

A photo frame contemporary and uncluttered

Like all my mountain photos, this print photo, in limited edition, was made on art paper. It was then laminated on a 3 mm thick dibond aluminum plate. At the back, an invisible aluminum frame allows the hanging while bringing a robust and durable structure.

On the lighting side, adjustable spotlights positioned on the ceiling provide a directional beam of light that perfectly highlights the photo. The Dents du Midi at sunrise have found their place here, perfectly positioned above the sofa. All you have to do is wait for the sun to set to rediscover them, unperturbed, every morning.
