In an article Previous we mentioned the project of a railway to reach the summit of the Matterhorn and the opposition it raised between 1906 and 1907. Despite the outcry in Switzerland and in Europe, this was not the last attempt of this type, as one might have expected, on the contrary: at the beginning of the 1950s, a cable car was planned on the Italian side to reach the summit of the famous summit. This is the subject of this article, which will deal mainly with the oppositions raised by the project.

The railway of the Jungfrau
