The majesticAiguille Verte rises out of the mist, revealing its summit ice cap. In the Mont Blanc massif, this mythical summit has always attracted the gaze of mountaineers and dreamers alike. Sometimes fierce, sometimes fragile, it stands like a sentinel above the Chamonix valley. The snow clinging to its steep slopes contrasts with the steep face where shadows linger, revealing the ruggedness of its nature.

That day, clouds swirled around theAiguille Verte, clinging to the ridges as if to hold the mountain captive. But theAiguille Verte has always been able to free itself from the assaults of the sky. In a flash of light, it revealed itself, pure and sovereign. That's when I immortalized it. Contrary to my usual practice, I chose to preserve a few nuances of color in this work. The brilliant white of the snow and the darkened rock. Subtle touches that enrich the depth of the image, as if to underline the vitality of this eternal mountain.

TheAiguille Verte is a legend. Its north face has attracted daredevil climbers since Whymper and Charlet-Straton reached the summit in 1865. A difficult mountain, renowned for its rigor and pitfalls, it has often been the scene of tragic tales as well as heroic feats. For me, it's one of the most fascinating in the Mont Blanc massif. With every encounter, it reminds me that the high mountains are both a conquest and an offering, a quest for greatness and a suspended moment.

In this work, theAiguille Verte appears like a celestial apparition, pierced by light and draped in shifting shadows. It embodies all the power of the Alps: ephemeral, timeless, indomitable.
