About the work
Celestial panorama at the summit of the Swiss Valais. I take you to the heart of this exceptional work, undoubtedly one of my finest black and white photographs of 2023. Our journey begins on the left, at summit of the Matterhorn, lord of Zermatt, and leads us to Dent Blanche. Its central ridge runs between light and shadow on the edge of val d’Anniviers and the Val d'Hérens. In front of it stands the Grand Cornier, with its sparkling walls. While on the right, the The Dent d'Hérens emerges from the mist like the fin of a vengeful shark. The clouds are so high that they caress the glaciers, giving the illusion that they are melting into the snow. The gentle contrasts sublimate the power of summits, vigorous and flamboyant. Such a scene feeds us with power and serenity.
The day I realized there was a world beyond the clouds, my life changed. Since then, I've devoted my life to watching for glimpses of an unparalleled realm. As the sky is draped in a sea of mist, the highest summits in the Alps rise from its waves, soaring skyward to proclaim their grandeur. Dressed in their finest mantle, sparkling with purity, they sit in majesty. These moments fascinate me. Out of time and out of the world, they are essential to me. But they happen only rarely, when the wind joins with snow and clouds. This evanescent symbiosis is so precious that I continue my quest despite the setbacks. Because when the day comes and nature offers me such a marvellous spectacle, I fall into ecstasy. My heart vibrates and my soul soars. I feel connected to these high mountains. For a few seconds, I'm filled with such splendor, because I know the power of these fleeting moments.

We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. It seems alive. A real daily pleasure!
