About the work
A marvellous traverse of Grandes Jorasses , from the Torino hut via Dent du géant and the Dôme de Rochefort to Pointe Walker. summit is the highest point on the ridge, reaching an altitude of 4,208 metres. On this route that winds between earth and sky, our minds venture to the heart of the Mont-Blanc massif, on the border between France and Italy. This fabulous photograph, a symbol of the grandeur of the Alps, is one of my favorite works.
I took this portrait in winter, when a storm had just frosted the rock faces. The clouds swirl around, at times revealing summits before disappearing again. Illuminated by the sun, the snow shines with ephemeral purity. At this precise moment, the elements unite to give life to a profound and powerful work that evokes so many emotions.
In this photograph of Grandes Jorasses, I wanted to highlight the incredible beauty that nature has to offer. A superimposition of peaks and lines that intersect and intertwine, guiding our gaze along this sublime journey. The angle of the scene and the soft, silvery contrasts fuel this astonishing odyssey. An unreal journey beyond the world to discover these legendary mountains that emerge from the mist like an island rising from the waves.
The moment is unique, and I know I can only relive it through this image. A precious photograph that allows us to enjoy our most beautiful adventures. It took a great deal of patience and perseverance to capture the soul of the mountain in this way. It's rare that nature reveals so much splendor to us, and I have to be constantly on the lookout to succeed in immortalizing it. I'm extremely happy to be able to present this work to you. I never tire of contemplating it. Each time I look at it, I discover something new. Exploring new horizons, I draw my inspiration from it.

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...
