About the work
A celestial wall in the heart of the Valais Alps. At sunrise, in the middle of winter, the Dents du Midi reveal their spectacular beauty. From left to right, we see the Cime de l'Est, the Forteresse, the Cathédrale, the Éperon, the Dent Jaune, the Doigts and the Haute Cime. These emblematic summits of the Valais still stand in shadow, while in the background, Mont Blanc captures the first golden rays of dawn.
The striking contrast between the gloomy Dents du Midi and the illuminated Mont Blanc creates an exceptional chromatic harmony. The shades of orange and pink that caress the roof of Western Europe contrast with the cool tones of the sleeping giants of the Valais.
Our gaze travels between these two worlds, as light and shadow battle for control of the Alpine landscape. The Dents du Midi wait patiently for their turn to be set ablaze.
I've been waiting for the moment when the mountain reveals its purest presence. The north face of the Dents du Midi and Mont Blanc invite us to dream and soar. I love the grandeur of these peaks. I love the poetry that emanates from these summits. The Dents du Midi retain their timeless character while evolving day by day. Erosion and glaciers have sculpted the rocks we see today. We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours.
