Panoramic photograph of Dents du Midi dominating the Val d'Illiez, in the Swiss Alps. This exceptional mountain range has seven summits of more than 3000 meters of altitude. From east to west, the Cime de l'Est, the Fortress, the Cathedral, the Spur, the Dent Jaune, the Fingers and the Haute Cime. I chose this angle of view, which can be admired from Montreux and the canton of Vaud, because it highlights the north face of this celestial castle, thus revealing its most beautiful profile.

To realize this work, I went to the site at night in order to be present when the first rays of the sun would illuminate the snowy mountains. Through patience and perseverance, I finally had the chance to see the mountains as I had imagined them. The sun shines on the eastern face of the Eastern Peak. The summits, unshakeable and majestic, emerge from the clouds and dominate the skies. The furious wind still blows on the crests, making the snow fly towards other horizons.

This is one of my most beautiful photographs of Dents du Midi. This breathtaking panorama allows to embrace with the eyes all the summits. Through the softness of the contrasts, the image transcribes the power of the elements and the exceptional beauty of these mountains. The play of light and shadow highlights the details of the freshly snowed reliefs. At the sight of this fascinating spectacle, I dream of being able to traverse this magnificent ridge one day.
