Fascinating portrait of theEiger, summit mythical of bernese alps, in Switzerland. The difficult conquest of its north face, during which several experienced mountaineers died, has made it infamous. The Mittellegi ridge plays the leading role in this picture. It allows "easy" access to the summit of theEiger, from where you can contemplate the merciless verticality of its north face. Climbing this fabulous ridge is one of the projects I would like to carry out in the coming months.

Many attempts were made before I was able to achieve this exceptional work. The elements had to come together for the photograph to be perfect. Here the mountain emerges from a sea of clouds, the last traces of the storm it has just faced. Hiding the bottom of theEiger, this white shield seems to urge the mountain to pierce the sky with its sharp edge. Other essential actor in the picture, the cloud hung to the summit masks the reliefs around. By an incredible perspective, theEiger is then detached from the landscape like an obelisk going up to the sky. The snow freshly plated on the walls of the colossus offers him a royal and timeless dimension. Last essential element to the work: my position, at this unique moment when the magic operates. Precise and long studied, it offers to the scene its perfect angle. All the conditions being met, photographic art can finally reveal the soul of this legendary summit .
