Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn and Matterhorn
majestic trio
About the work
This panorama is an invitation to travel from summit to summit. From the razor-sharp purity of the Weisshorn to the tapering grace of the Zinalrothorn, each mountain reveals its own personality. The Matterhorn, massive and sovereign, seems to orchestrate the scene, like a king surrounded by his followers. Complicit clouds caress the peaks, fading then returning, creating an ephemeral ballet of light and shadow.
I've waited years to capture this moment. The three summits together in such harmony, bathed in crystal-clear light after the storm, are a rare gift. Storms shape the high mountains, washing them and giving them a new coat. But they also impose their law: you have to know how to be patient, how to watch, and sometimes how to give up. That day, the mountain chose to give itself up.
Photographing these moments means accepting that you have no control over the elements. It means always being ready for the moment when the magic happens. Here, the Weisshorn, the Zinalrothorn and the Matterhorn joined forces, offering a spectacle that only the mountains can create.
