Panorama des Terres Sauvages

A magnificent black-and-white panorama takes us from the Fribourg Pre-Alps to the famous bernese alps mountains. Next the Dent de Savigny ridge, we follow the Dent de Ruth to reach the Gastlosen and the Chalet du Soldat. Our journey continues to summits Gantrisch and Stockhorn. Suddenly, our gaze is drawn to the Hochmatt and Cheval Blanc, fabulous white pyramids towering to the left of the photograph at 2152 and 2147 metres above sea level. Behind them, emerging from the clouds, the Vanils des Raveires, Vanil d'Arpille, Schöpfenspitz and Chörblispitz sparkle in the sunlight. We're caught up in the splendour of the mountains rising to the horizon. At an altitude of over 4,000 metres, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau sculpt the sky in their own imposing, unreal image.

I took this panoramic photograph of the mountains in the dead of winter, when their northern faces are in shadow. I'd love to be able to admire the snow-covered Fribourg Pre-Alps in spring! Their bleached walls fully illuminated by the sun. Unfortunately, snow is becoming increasingly rare in the mid-mountains. And my photographs bear witness to the beauty of a landscape that will soon exist only in books.

I've always dreamed of being able to bring together all the mountains of the Swiss Alps in a single work. The shots follow one another ad infinitum, endowing the work with incredible depth. The summits of the Pre-Alps follow one another to guide us to the sacred realm of the high mountains, in the heart of bernese alps. A fabulous journey to summits , each with its own personality. With their eyes focused on the dynamics of the picture, the mountaineers admire the verticality of the rock faces, while the skiers imagine themselves gliding down the snow-covered slopes. As for me, a contemplative photographer, I marvel at the spectacle offered by the wilderness. I observe the mountains, trying to discern their soul. Striving to find the angle that will pay homage to their celestial beauty. So that we can continue to dream of the world above.
