Strahlhorn - Rimpfischhorn - Allalinhorn
Winter symphony
About the work
To the left, the Strahlhorn unfurls its smooth, harmonious curves. The summit looks inviting on the surface, but the glaciers below are full of dangerous crevasses. Beside it stands the Rimpfischhorn, its silhouette resembling the crenellated back of a dinosaur. Its name, derived from the patois "rimpfe" meaning "to roll up", evokes this wrinkled, folded summit ridge, composed of a multitude of gendarmes. The summit is so narrow that only one person can stand on it. To the right, theAllalinhorn completes this Alpine triptych. It's probably one of the most accessible of the four-thousanders, thanks in no small part to the underground cogwheel railway that takes you up to the summit on its northern slope.
This panorama is an invitation to contemplation. Each plane of this panoramic photograph contributes to the overall harmony, from the gentle slopes of the ski area to the steep faces of the summits. This work celebrates the timeless beauty of Saas-Fee, this jewel of the Alps where nature reigns supreme.
