The hero of this panoramic photograph, the Titlis rises to an altitude of 3268 metres, on the border between the cantons of Bern and Obwalden. This summit of the Uri Alps intrigues me as much as it amazes me. Between earth and sky, a world bewitches us. The Titlis imposes itself, exacerbating its purity and showing the grandeur of its face. summit is the pride of Engelberg. From this village, a revolving cable car leads to the Titlis. Up there, a whole new world opens up. bernese alps and Lake Lucerne reveal their majesty. At the Engelberg ski resort, families and friends share precious moments. Memories are made in one of Switzerland's largest ski areas.

With this black and white work, I wanted to inscribe summit in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Like a king towering over the surrounding valleys and mountains, Titlis sparkles. From this vantage point, the most beautiful summits of the Uri Alps rip across the horizon. Among them, the Wendenhorn and, further to the left, the Wendenstöcke stand out clearly. In the background, the Stockhorn looks out over the Titlis. In the distance, Lakes Thun and Brienz become mysteriously misty.

I'd been looking forward to this moment of grace for a long time. Just long enough for the clouds to begin their dance around summits. Then, in 2020, the conditions came together to create an exceptional panorama. While the sky was being torn apart, the clouds were still caressing the peaks. The purity of nature joined me in my being. I'm happy to share with you the almighty power of the high mountains. The beauty of a celestial kingdom that overwhelms me.
