about the work
This beautiful panoramic photograph of the Glarus Alps features Mount Tödi and its magnificent hanging glacier. It rises to 3612 meters above sea level on the border between the Swiss cantons of Glarus and Graubünden. In the foreground, the Bifertenstock ridge directs our gaze towards the hero of the day. In the background, one mountain follows another to give the picture a perfect balance. On the left, three summits from bernese alps tear the sky with their sharp peaks: the famous Titlis, Gross Spannort and Schlossberg. To the right of Mount Tödi, the Uri Rotstock and Schlieren rise to the horizon.I created this captivating panorama of the Glarus Alps to highlight the grandeur of the Tödi and the surrounding mountains. Through a succession of vertiginous shots, the photograph reveals the depth of a landscape that illuminates the sky with its absolute purity. Carried by a sea of clouds, the Tödi imposes its presence. Freshly snow-covered, its walls reveal their beauty. I love the complementarity of its vertical edges and feminine curves. At once gentle and strong-willed, the mountain's complex personality endows the picture with exceptional strength.
