About the work
The majestic Zinalrothorn rises to an altitude of 4221 metres in the heart of the Valais Alps, near Zermatt. Along with the Weisshorn, Ober Gabelhorn, Bishorn and Dent Blanche, this iconic summit forms the illustrious "Imperial Crown", an Alpine constellation that I love to photograph.
Usually faithful to the timeless elegance of black and white, this time color is used to pay tribute to the infinite richness of detail on the Zinalrothorn cliffs. This photograph reveals the subtle textures of rock and snow, freshly deposited by a storm that has just passed.
Wrapped in clouds, the summit retains an air of mystery. In a rare flash of light, the cliff I photographed from the outskirts of Zermatt revealed itself to me in all its splendor. For a few seconds, I felt all the strength and delicacy of the Zinalrothorn. Capturing this portrait was a rare privilege. I had to wait patiently, to hope, to watch for that precise moment when the mountain offered itself completely. An exceptional encounter that only happens once in a photographer's life. Faced with it, my gaze travels beyond the visible. The slender summit of the Zinalrothorn rises before me like a bold arrow, ready to pierce the heavens and reach infinity.
Taken in 2019, this vertical-format photograph bears witness to a wild and fragile beauty that moves me deeply and inspires me endlessly. To photograph the Alps is to capture the eternal in the fleeting, to celebrate every day this masterful nature that never ceases to amaze me.

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. It seems alive. A real daily pleasure!

We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...
