Two or three times a year, the magic happens. These moments when the Aiguille is cloaked in immaculate snow occur only on rare occasions during the year, when the elements combine perfectly: wind, temperature and precipitation combine to offer this unique spectacle. I've been trying for years to understand this mysterious phenomenon, but it remains elusive.
