Aiguille du Tour
Sentinel of the Mont Blanc massif
About the work
High-altitude winds sculpt the landscape, raising plumes of snow on the ridges. To the left, theAiguille Verte unfurls its characteristic silhouette, recognizable by the summit cap that gives it its distinctive allure. Further on, the Aiguille du Midi points its rocky spires skywards, while the 4,810-metre-high Mont Blanc dominates the summits . The Bosses ridge can be seen, swept along by gusts of wind that draw ephemeral veils of ice crystals in the air.
This work reveals the depth and complexity of the Mont Blanc massif. Each shot brings its own texture and light, creating a play of contrasts where mist mingles with rock, where the softness of snow converses with the harshness of granite. Between light and shadow, this photograph captures the very essence of the high mountains in all their wintry beauty. Through this magnificent black-and-white photograph, I pay homage to the mythical mountains that have always fascinated me and fueled my artistic obsession. These summits constantly guide my eyes and my heart towards their unchanging splendor.
