From the heights of the Gornergrat, the Matterhorn is revealed in all its splendour. This perfect pyramid rises out of the clouds like a beacon of stone towards infinity. This black-and-white photograph reveals one of its wildest faces: its eastern slope, immortalized just after the passage of a storm. As the sky clears, the Matterhorn appears white-clad and inaccessible. A natural monument of breathtaking beauty, the Matterhorn alone embodies the majesty of the Alps and fascinates the world with its inimitable silhouette.
In the crystalline light that caresses its sharp edges, every detail of the rock is revealed before our very eyes. The vertical striations tell the geological story of this mythical mountain, while the snow hugs its contours perfectly, underlining the perfect geometry of its face. As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...
