About the work
Can you hear the echo of thousand-year-old rocks? In the heart of the Valais and overlooking Zermatt, the Matterhorn proclaims its infinite power. In 2014, for the first time, I was about to climb summit to an altitude of over 4000 metres. Climb Breithorn and, from up there, contemplate the beauty of the Alps. I was dreaming in my tent of the most beautiful mountains when, in the early hours of the morning, nature offered me this fabulous spectacle. Suddenly emerging from a raging storm, the Matterhorn appeared to me imposing and implacable. Adorned with its then gigantic glacier, which has since traded its eternal snows for evanescence. Its face sparkles in the soft light of the rising sun. Dressed in a white coat of rare elegance, the Matterhorn exults in this rebirth.
When I saw the clouds swirling around its summit, when I saw them dancing at first light, I had only one objective. To capture their movement so that I, in turn, could offer it to you. So I grabbed my camera and seized the moment. With a black filter and a long exposure, I brought this fabulous work to life. Before the Matterhorn returned to the dark winds, before this prodigy became a memory.

We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. It seems alive. A real daily pleasure!
