Stunning Reliefs

Panoramic portrait of the most beautiful mountains in the Valais Alps. In this black-and-white photograph, the valleys intertwine and summits follow one another. Opposite us, in the center of the picture, the famous Weisshorn rises above val d’Anniviers. The highest peak in the Imperial Crown of Zinal, it is accompanied, on its left, by Bishorn whose snowy faces sparkle in the sunlight. Our traverse then takes us to the ridges of Schalihorn and the Zinalrothorn, which are still in the shade. In the background, the Mischabels massif rises up on the left, between the valleys of Zermatt and Saas Fee. Its Dom, the highest summit in Switzerland, rises to an altitude of 4,545 metres. On the right, piercing the horizon, Dufourspitze rises to 4634 metres in the Monte Rosa massif. summit is the highest mountain in the Swiss Alps, yet extends all the way to Italy.

I created this grandiose panorama during the spring of 2018, when heavy snowfalls had just blanketed the mountains. I wanted to bring together in this work the most imposing and emblematic summits of the Valais. This magical place whose valleys run perpendicular to the Rhône valley. A change of perspective allows us to lose ourselves in the dizzying landscape. This photograph highlights the balance of the shapes and the scale of the mountains. Floating on a bed of clouds, summits gains in power. I'm delighted to have been able to immortalize for you this privileged moment that nature offered me.
