It's an ideal frame from which to learn mountaineering and explore the Alps on cross-country skis. We then turn our attention to the summit of Mont Blanc de Cheilon. An imposing pyramid, it shelters the Cabane des Dix at its feet. The mountain overlooks Lac des Dix and the Grande Dixence dam, fed by melting ice. In the background, the 4,314-metre Grand Combin , the highest summit between Mont Blanc and the Dent Blanche, imposes its presence.

This pure ambience reveals high mountains at their most authentic. Shades of white are infinite, creating a monochrome palette of remarkable delicacy. Our gaze travels between these giants of the Alps, captivated by the exceptional geography of the Val d'Hérens. The clouds play with the ridges, revealing and then concealing these colossi at their whim. This atmospheric dance transforms the landscape into a dreamlike vision. The snow unifies this mountainous ensemble, erasing the rough edges to reveal only the essential: the raw beauty of these summits.

I chose this angle of view because it transforms the way we see the world. The unusual alignment of these mountains creates a striking effect, as the relief spreads out towards infinity. Without the slightest trace of human presence, we are transported back to the origins of the Earth. I'm fascinated by the pure beauty of the landscape, where the mountains seem to be in dialogue with the sky. The elements blend harmoniously to become one.
