About the work

We're opposite Piz Roseg (3935 m), in the eastern Swiss Alps, in the Engadine, in the Bernina massif. The glacial triangle of the Scheekuppe offers us a grandiose spectacle: in the middle of mountains over 3,000 m, this summit shines here in spring, after the storm. The ice is still there, despite the accelerated melting between 2,500 and 3,000 m. What will become of this mountain in ten or twenty years' time? One thing's for sure: in the future, there will be fewer and fewer summits 3000 m mountains with ice caps. This work pays tribute to the magnificence of these ice giants, which we can still enjoy, for the time being. Times will change, and the aesthetics of this mountain will be reconfigured. This work is the memory of a time already in evolution.

I particularly like the contrast between light and shadow in this photograph. The first rays of sunlight put an end to the reign of darkness. The world is reborn. The ridge sparkles like a diamond and summit embraces the heavens. The mountain awakens. The resplendent shapes of its thousand-year-old hanging glaciers are awe-inspiring. This pyramid of rock and ice is undeniably a mountaineer's dream. But the climb is a demanding one, and, like all summit climbs, it has to be earned.

When I took this photograph, the atmosphere was hypnotic. I didn't know whether the snow would stay on the mountains or fall below, leaving the ice bare. The end result is grandiose, complex: gentle slopes are covered in a blanket of snow, while higher up, steep, windswept slopes reveal incredible detail. At the bottom, imposing seracs remind adventurers of the world above that they must remain humble in the face of nature's power.

We were bowled over!

My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol... We'd like to thank you again for your impeccable service (rapid response to enquiries, hyper-realistic projection of the work on the photos of the wall beforehand). In short, we have nothing to complain about and look forward to seeing you at an opening.

We enjoy it every day!

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece. What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work. It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken. The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. It seems alive. A real daily pleasure!
