A majestic pyramid in the Valais Alps, the Bietschhorn rises here like a celestial monolith, indomitable and sovereign. Towering over the Rhone Valley and the Lötschental, it is revealed in all its splendour, a slender silhouette piercing the sky. Its snow-covered summit gleams in the light, while its steep flanks sink into deep shadow.

On this particular day, the clouds have taken over the valleys. The sea of mist rises, slides and tears. Occasionally, the ridges of the Bietschhorn come into view. The atmosphere is both mysterious and grandiose. Light and shadow clash and respond to each other, accentuating the mountain's striking verticality. The summit seems to float above the world, detached from the earth, close to the stars.

The Bietschhorn, a solitary summit , has always fascinated. Less well known than the Matterhorn or the Weisshorn, it is nonetheless one of the most beautiful jewels in the Valais. Its perfect pyramid has inspired mountaineers since the 19th century, attracted by the purity of its lines and the ruggedness of its faces. To contemplate it is to feel the wild power of a mountain that never lets itself be tamed.

In this black and white work, I wanted to reveal the timeless grandeur of the Bietschhorn. Through the play of contrasts, the cloud masses become a showcase. The eye loses itself in infinity, caught up in the radiance of the light that caresses its snowy cap. Deep shadows and impenetrable mist remind us of the fragility of the moment. In this way, the Bietschhorn reveals itself like an apparition: mystical, regal, unforgettable.
