Panoramic mont blanc - Photo painting of a mountain landscape from the Matterhorn to Mont-Blanc

About the work

Fantastic journey through the Alps. This panoramic black-and-white photograph takes us from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc, 4807 m high in the French Alps. Almost 64 km separate these two mythical mountains, the emblem of Switzerland and the roof of Europe. Two high-mountain icons, fascinating and titanic. Between these two giants lie the most beautiful summits of the Valais Alps. From the Matterhorn, the ridge leads to the The Dent d'Hérens. We then cross Tête de Valpelline, Tête Blanche, Pigne d'Arolla and Grand Combin before reaching Mont Blanc. The immense Peuterey ridge sculpts its left flank, while on the right we descend to Chamonix via the voie des Trois Monts. Contemplating the horizon, our gaze is drawn to the Aiguille Verte which, like a sharp point, seems to pierce the sky. I like to call it the "Matterhorn of Chamonix", such is its incredible stature.

Through this fabulous epic, I wanted to highlight the pyramid that has inspired me since my first steps in the Alps. The Matterhorn towers above us, a rock giant covered in snow after a midsummer storm. After years of waiting, the summer rains have finally arrived. Whitening the entire mountain. A jewel with sparkling faces, the Matterhorn has turned into a diamond in the rough. A sea of clouds envelops the valleys, hiding the world below and raising our gaze to the celestial realm. Made of rock and ice, it opens our hearts to the purity of untouched nature. The only trace of our civilization in the photograph, the Hörnli refuge can be seen at the foot of the ridge of the same name.

Despite the passage of time, I still contemplate the Matterhorn with the same emotion. I capture its power and beauty in my photographs. And to do this, I have to be present in front of the mountain when the conditions are right. When the elements come together to sublimate its grandeur. Clouds, snow, soft, deep summer light. So I immortalize this sumptuous landscape for you. As you contemplate it at home, you'll discover a new story every day, a source of inspiration for future high-mountain adventures.

We were bowled over!

My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol... We'd like to thank you again for your impeccable service (rapid response to enquiries, hyper-realistic projection of the work on the photos of the wall beforehand). In short, we have nothing to complain about and look forward to seeing you at an opening.

We enjoy it every day!

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece. What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work. It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken. The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours. It seems alive. A real daily pleasure!
