About the work
I stand alone beyond the world, dominating the kingdom of heaven with my towering splendor. Defying the rising sun from my sharp peak. In search of the absolute and intimate truth. Monumental portrait of the Eiger, lord of the high mountains. Many an adventurer has lost his life to reach summit. For this thousand-year-old pyramid rises up against the winds to protect its territory. Located in the bernese alps area, north of the Alps, the pyramid bears the full brunt of the most violent storms.
To produce this magnificent black and white photograph, I flew to meet the Eiger after the storm. When the mountain reappears at dawn, dressed in a sumptuous white coat. Piercing the clouds, it points skywards like a shark's fin rising from the waves. With this aerial view of the Eiger, I wanted to highlight the mountain from a different angle. A new point of view that reveals another facet of its personality. Powerful and sublime.
Carried by a sea of clouds straight out of a dream, the Eiger guides our gaze towards infinity. To a world where anything is possible again. Our minds drift away as the mist gradually detaches itself from its crest. Illuminated by the sun's first rays, new details appear on the rocks. New textures. Between light and shadow, perspectives are transformed and the photograph takes shape in three dimensions. The work is alive, nourished by the changing light and the breath of the wind. So that it can be reinterpreted again and again. Because every day is a new adventure. I experience photography as an introspective journey. Contemplating the Eiger at search . Venerable majesty, the mountain invites us to evolve. To give the best of ourselves to contribute to the flourishing of life and perpetuate the beauty of the world.

We were bowled over!
My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........ It became obvious that it should adorn our new apartment as a centerpiece.What's more, we had a very sympathetic contact with the artist, who came himself to deliver his work.It's very appreciable and adds a dimension to the object, to know its creator, his passion, the conditions under which it was taken.The texture of the photo resembles a painting, the lights play on it, Next the hours.
