Can you hear the echo of rock in the midst of storm? High above Zermatt, the Matterhorn proclaims its eternal grandeur. Shortly before the arrival of a violent gust of wind, the mountain revealed itself in all its implacable majesty. The mythical 4,478-metre-high pyramid rises in the face of threatening clouds that surround it in an ever-tightening vice. More ferocious than ever, the Matterhorn explodes.

Our gaze witnesses the dramatic build-up to the storm. The swirling cloud masses herald the fury to come, but the mountain remains impassive, anchored in its eternal rock. The contrasting light reveals every detail of this natural architecture. The play of light and shadow creates a striking harmony between the rock and the tormented sky. Here, the Matterhorn asserts its supremacy in the Alpine pantheon.

As I watched the clouds swirling around the summit, I had only one objective: to capture their dance so that I could pass it on to you. Using a black filter, I created this striking photograph, before the Matterhorn was invaded again by the dark clouds. This moment is engraved forever in the memory of the Alps.
