Between the Val de Bagnes and the Val d'Entremont, the Grand Combin stands victorious against a stormy sky. On a stormy night, defying fog and wind, I climbed the heights of the Valais Alps in the hope of catching a glimpse of this colossal, alabaster-hued massif. When my eyes finally caught sight of it, I knew immediately that this was going to be an exceptional moment. My heart pounding with emotion, I grabbed my camera. Then, in the blink of an eye, a giant of ice suddenly revealed itself. Nature was offering me its most precious spectacle, right before my eyes. It was winter 2017, a fabulous and unforgettable encounter with the Grand Combin. At the time, I would never have dared imagine that one day I would reach the summit this mythical mountain. But fate decided otherwise. Five years later, I finally reached its summit. Up there, I skimmed the sky and became one with the Grand Combin.

I share this work in color as a precious heirloom. For a few seconds, nature allowed me to witness a moment of grace. As the mountain evolves and its glaciers recede, I take care to preserve the very essence of its wild beauty, that eternal glow that slowly fades away. My art reflects the light on this celestial realm so that it remains forever present in our memories.
