about the work
This panoramic black-and-white photograph reveals the beauty of summits in the Saas Fee valley and the Monte Rosa massif. These luminous and inspiring mountains of the Swiss Alps rise above the clouds at an altitude of over 4,000 metres. In the foreground, our gaze is drawn to the glittering face ofAllalinhorn, before sliding towards the Strahlhorn on the left. In the center of the picture, the tip of the Rimpfischhorn rises out of the mist at the border of the Zermatt and Saas Fee valleys. Behind it, the immensity of Mount Rose catches our eye. Our ascent begins at summit on the Pointe Gnifetti, on which the Margherita hut can be seen. Then, from the Zumsteinspitze, we reach Dufourspitze and the Nordend, which merge into the picture. To the right, our adventure continues at Lyskamm , ending at the Castor summit. This work, worthy of a masterpiece, brings together ten of the highest summits in the Swiss Alps, in a spellbinding, grandiose atmosphere. I had to wait for the right moment to realize it. When the clouds take hold of the valleys to highlight the mountains. Just as the storm has calmed and covered them in a sumptuous blanket of snow. In the heart of this kingdom of rock and ice, our minds wander. Fascinated by the splendor of white pyramids seemingly from another world. I love the cottony softness of this celestial landscape. The silvery reflections of the mountains and the perspective born of their lines, evolving between light and shadow to infinity.
