Splendid mountains in the Valais Alps, whose grandeur is a constant source of artistic inspiration for me. This black and white photograph reveals the Dent Blanche, the Grand Cornier and the Dent d'Hérens. These summits rise to 4357 metres, 3961 metres and 4173 metres respectively above the Val d'Hérens and val d’Anniviers. In the middle stands the Dent Blanche. The Quatre Ânes ridge on the left and the Ferpècle ridge on the right elegantly outline the Dent Blanche Blanche. These legendary routes provide endless fodder for my imagination.

The creation of this panoramic photograph is the fruit of long years of anticipation. To be able to admire the Dent Blanche, the Grand Cornier and the Dent d'Hérens together in all their splendour is a rare phenomenon, observable only once or twice a year. And when the clouds give way to bright sunshine, I'm ready and waiting, facing the mountains, to capture this ephemeral beauty. Minutes are precious before this unique vision fades away.

I've chosen this particular angle to give the summits an almost Himalayan look, where their peaks rise harmoniously towards the sky. Their remarkable verticality reinforces the symbiosis between these three summits. The Grand Cornier exalts the Dent Blanche and the Dent d'Hérens, while the slender lines of the Dent Blanche invite you to discover the secrets of its neighbors. I'm particularly fond of the delicate details revealed by the snow and the refined textures that cover these faces. This graphic composition, sublimated by striking contrasts of light, shows even in the deepest shadows the sparkling beauty of the mountains and their subtlest mysteries.
