About the work
In the heart of the Swiss Alps, a world of rock and ice awakens in the heights. This is Piz Bernina, a giant of a thousand and one splendours. From Biancograt and the Pizzo Bianco, a spectacle of light and shadow comes to life. A rocky ridge unfurls, meanders, descends and then climbs back up to Piz Bernina. It continues to summit de la Spedla, culminating at 4018 metres. In the background, Piz Zupò emerges. Less famous than its neighbors, it is only five metres short of joining the prestigious line of Alpine 4000s.
Between realism and abstraction, this work invites us to travel along one of Switzerland's most beautiful ridges. What animal do you see? A fish? A shark's fin? I take you from the mysterious depths of the oceans to summits . As clouds caress the ridge, the play of shapes and light reveals infinite details on the rock. Our minds are captivated by Alpine immensity, the grandeur of which surpasses the limits of our comprehension. As I write these lines, I have just returned from climbing Piz Bernina. I contemplate this mountain with emotion. I feel a depth mingled with gentleness that transports us beyond simple photography, to an encounter with summits and its thousand-year-old soul. An ode to beauty, to the grandeur of mountains, to the uniqueness of nature. This timeless work transports us into a universe between heaven and earth.

My wife and I are amazed at the quality of print and the rendering of this magnificent photo. We had waited many years to put a picture on this blank wall because we had never "flashed" on a piece of art. Now we've found it, and it fits in perfectly at the entrance to our apartment. What's more, it depicts 3 summits that are particularly close to our hearts: the Weisshorn, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn - quite a symbol...

As former inhabitants of Zermatt, it's hard to forget the Matterhorn, even in a new environment of mountains and nature.we discovered this large photo of the Matterhorn in a gallery, so strong and intense, it was impossible to forget it........
